The 3D Hologram - Now Revolutionized

It's at times like these when 3D-glasses just don't cut the mustard. The revolutionary Cheoptics 360 can display fully three-dimensional video using cutting edge laser technology. To create this effect, specifically designed footage is projected onto a transparent 4 sided pyramid (which is completely invisible to the viewer). The Cheoptics, named after a pyramid bordering Cairo, Egypt, is currently available for advertising or showcasing purposes.

Microsoft Surface

A new era in technology is approaching quickly, so quickly in fact that it's almost close enough to touch--literally. The computer giant Microsoft is creating the world's first coffee table with a built-in touch screen. You might ask, "Why would I need that?!". Well let me tell you, this is no ordinary touch screen.

For several days your friend been wanting to show you this awesome picture. Finally, he comes over to your house with his high-tech camera, but forgets the USB cable. Even worse, your computer is acting up and won't boot. "Rats," he says, "I really needed to show you this on the big screen." "No problem," you reply, as you lead him over to the coffee table which you recently purchased. Taking his camera from his hand and setting it on the table, immediately his picture shows on the screen. You then touch the display and drag apart with two fingers to enlarge the image. "You're right, sweet pic!", you exclaim.

The Electronic Pill

Controlled by radio-waves, this is no ordinary pill. Once swallowed, the microchip is able to recieve orders from a doctor and dispense drugs as it travels through the digestive system. Sound gross? Maybe, but if it helps save lives, it's certainly worth it.

Roadable Aircraft

No, it's not an airable car. For those of you who dream of flying to work or school (who doesn't?), this luxury vehicle costs just under $200,000 and is limited to licensed pilots. However, the good news is that this is a big step in the right direction. Named "The Transition", the wings on this aircraft can fold and unfold, giving it greater versitality with the ability to traverse on the highways. It carries a 500 gallon tank.

The Invisible Cloak

Scientists are busy developing the world's first light-bending meta-material (an artificially engineered material), a concept that has previously been known only to the Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter fans. While currently non-functional for visible light, the ray-bending theory has been tested with other wave lengths and the results are positive.

When light touches a surface, the normal reaction is to reflect outward. This reflected light is what your brain processes as a variety of colors as it enters the eye. That is the normal reaction. However, when light strikes a meta-material, a completely different process takes place. Instead of bouncing from the meta-material and entering into your eye, the light is bent around the object and onto it's opposite side, creating the illusion that it's not there at all.

Flexible Screens - The Future of TVs?

A recently made breakthrough in the world of science could change the way we view our computer and TV displays, and in the near future too. This new technology made with organic light-emitting diodes has the potential to be used to create the thinnest full-color displays ever made.

It's now possible that clothing, dashboards, counter-tops, wallpaper--virtually anything imaginable--can use this discovery for any variety of purposes.
